boat time means i get tired and start wanting to sleep around 8:30 pm. and then i wake up at 5:30. well last night i went to bed a lot later than 8:30... but i still woke up at 5:30. shucks.

I'll make this description of my trip short. (haha that's right ryan. like me.)

Snorkling: spent LOTS of time doing that. cool things i saw include sea turtles, puffer fish, baracudas, sea fans, sponges, parrot fish, squirrel fish, and a whole bunch of cool fish i can't name.

The Baths: this place on the Virgin Gorda (the sailors thought the island looked like a pregnant woman... so they decided to call it the pregnant virgin. those silly british) lots of places to climb and hidden pools underneath the rocks. super fantastic. I have realized I love climbing rocks. Makes me feel tall.

"You can't judge a man by the size of his dinghy" races: Carrie and Lauren kicked our butt twice. But we kicked Laura's mom and dad's butt, so we were right in the middle. We think that the dinghy went slower with us because we're so fat. and carrie and lauren aren't. bummer. I was sad.

Bar hopping: we went to a few of the island bars. Last Resort had tons of animals running around and a live band. by far my favorite. I danced with this guy named dan. laura will put pictures of him up later. *giggles* The Willy T was not very active the night we went there so it had good music. oh and there's this tradition at the Willy T (which is actually a boat anchored in a bay with a restaurant and bar) where if you jump off the top of it naked into the water, you get a free Willy T t-shirt. hmm..... None of the other ones are worth mentioning. and no, there is no drinking age in the BVI. and NO! i didn't drink a drop.

Things that were gross about living on a boat: pumping the toilet... and not being able to flush toilet paper. having to be careful not to pump the toilet while there were swimmers in the water. one shower every three days. on the back of the boat. accumulating trash and not having anywhere to put it. rotten potatoes. seagull poo. sweating while sleeping because of the lack of airflow in the cabins. getting bit to death by mosquitos. boat bites.

but that was all worth it for the above the above reasons and....
the beautiful sunsets and sunrises. the perfectly clear water everywhere you went. being able to wake up and dive off the bow. learning how to sail a yacht. drying out in the sun every afternoon. relaxing on the hammocks on the islands. being able to go to whatever island you feel like... whenever. chit chats with lauren and carrie and laura and laura's parents. the stars. oh my gosh they were so clear. cooking for everyone and me and laura making kick ass food. hermit crabs in carrie and lauren's bed. stealing the dinghy. ms. french naming laura the "ball grabber." Lauren writing every little thing that happens down in her journal.

ok guys. that's all i'll subject you to. at this point you should be sufficiently jealous of me and laura and the gang.

im gonna go wander around and find something to do.

this is conors fault.. and its summer. im bored.

love: the people there! the guys ive met are hilarious and make the whole sweeping a movie theatre thing seem not so bad and the girls are helpful when i have no idea what im doing and are fun to talk to while working. my addiction to free slushies.
hate: the long hours. doing trash.

i do look forward to going to work when i go... but after a couple hours i look forward to leavin too... specially when all the cool people leave first.

Summer is almost here. I feel completely unproductive and I fear losing my intellectual capabilities *shut up guys. i really have some* that are so few and precious right now.

idea: keep busy
why that's not hard: work just started and volunteering
why that is hard: gotta try and exercise.... and my long breaks of vacation.

speaking of vacation... watch out bmorons.
im totally gonna come somewhere around june 23rd and stay a week or so.

Things I bought for work today:
~ 3 pack of clear nose ring spacers 7.00
~ 2 plain white t shirts 10.00
~ 3 pack of black socks 4.00
~ 1 pair black pants 22.00

my shoes would be on there but I couldn't find a pair that fit me right... so I have to wear my mom's 100 dollar shoes for the first few days. but so far that tab adds up to 43 dollars spent on clothes and such for work. POOH!

I'm super nervous about training tomorrow... no not really.

Apparently they are gonna mess up one of the theaters and see how fast each of us can clean it up.
If I do a really bad job... does that mean they wont make me be usher?
I mean they already hired me...

Tearing tickets is boring
Concessions is hectic
box office is the best i guess... besides maybe monitor. All they do is stand in the theater when the movie starts and make sure its the right temperature and everyone can hear the movie. That'd be easy.
Oh well, I'm kinda excited... it being my first job and everything... I really can't be late to this like I'm late to babysitting, volunteering, soccer games, class, and pretty much everything.

it was good fun.

i made aneal try snails at the restaurant. he liked them.

aneal won like a thousand points for picking me up and carrying me to the car when my feet were killing me.

my dress survived!

eddie and bekah got prom king and queen... WTF? eddie was wearing all animal print and carrying a cane...

We went to two different Kerbey Lane's afterwards.

Eventually I got home at like 6:15 am.

Now I have a soccer game in like an hour... oh this is gonna be fun...

so i woke up this morning and my moms like..chelsea i know why the dog was barking last night! your car is covered in condoms! they look USED!

but i was still a little dissapointed.

So... me and jamie were being good kids... out on sunday night for some panda express and barnes and noble.

So we're sitting there and a cop drives up and starts asking for our ids and what not.
jamie doesnt have his.. and unfortunately i was driving without mine.

we're like... whats the deal?

hes like.. its 10:30 pm. park curfew is at 10:00 pm.

and thats when we got our citations. for swinging and giggling like ten year olds... 30 minutes too late.

and jamie almost went to jail.. because he couldnt be identified until the cop called his mom.

i mean cmon.
the cop is this big black guy and hes all acting like were the worst kids ever. Jamie walks over to him... hes like "please step back sir"

and we were supposed to see the dark low to the ground green signs that said the curfew when he himself had to hold his flashlight up to it to show us the curfew times...

something sounds wrong here...

thats why we have a right to make an appearance in court and contest the citations.
damn right ill be there.
and jamie's mom too... she was pretty miffed.

oh yea... and meanwhile this guy gets calls on his radio for...
